The bench

Place poles on the grid
and route a band around them.

Bench

The gridband 1: no pole yet

Each dot marks a position where a pole of the selected weight can be placed. Press a dot to place a pole there, and the band is extended to it. Press a pole that the band has not reached to route the band to it. Press a pole that the band already passes to change the direction it passes in: clockwise, anticlockwise or, at either end of an open band, ending on the pole. Drag a pole to move it. It stays on the grid.

These lines describe the whole plate. A pole is given by its position and its weight, in cells, and poles are lettered in the order they are listed. A band is given by its route around the poles: + passes a pole clockwise, - passes it anticlockwise, and . ends on it.

The SVG is drawn in currentColor, so it takes the text colour of the page it is inlined in. The PNG is silver on a transparent background.

The bench does not save anything between visits. To keep a plate, copy its data or export the mark.
